Student Complaint Procedure
Students are encouraged, at all times, to verbally communicate their concerns to members of the facility and administration for amicable solutions. A written grievance, addressed to the school, must be received from the student within 48 hours after the incident occurs. The "Incident Reports" form may be obtained from any instructor. The procedure is as follows and must be completed in numeric sequence: |
1. The written grievance must be submitted to the school on an "Incident Report" within 48 hours of the incident.
2. The school will verify that the student has made a verbal attempt to resolve the concern with the instructor and/ or owner, or Director.
3. If the student has followed the above steps the school will call a grievance committee hearing within 24 hours of receipt of the
"Incident Report" form.
This form must be received within the 48-hour period outlined in step number 1.
4. All documentation must be submitted by using an "Incident Report" form that is to be signed and dated. All involved parties must individually use an "incident Report" form. This must be done prior to the committee hearing and the documentation must be received within the 24-hour time frame outlined in number 3.
5. The school will call a committee meeting which will consist of but not be ited to, due to the personal circumstances of each concern, the following: School Director, Instructor, and / or appropriate Department Head's)
6. All involved with the incident must be present at the time of the hearing
evidence will be presented by the student and then by all other parties
involved. Minutes will be taken
7. The committee will be communicated immediately involved to review the evidence
and, immediately meet in the absence of those vote on a decision.
8. If the decision is unacceptable to the student the student must within 24 hours of the hearing, send copies of all documents and a cover letter explaining why the decision is unacceptable. |
